I am thrilled to welcome this month’s special guests, Maz Maddox and Kirt Graves, to come Sip the Tea with me on Saturday, September 28th at 10 AM Pacific (Seattle/Tucson) live on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch.

Last year, dear Lady Junesquirrel introduced me to Maz Maddox’s wonderful Relic series and whilst these books are not steampunk, they are wonderful urban fantasy romps, featuring Dinosaur shifters, charming queer characters, and perfectly delightful romances. I was absolutely smitten by the series and Maddox’s lively writing! The audio books especially were a lovely treat for rough days or hard chores.

Which brings me to Kirt Graves! Imagine my joy discovering that the gentleman who had narrated some of Madame Gail’s books and scads of TJ Klune’s works, was also narrating Maddox’s books. Graves not only has a beautiful voice, but he is also a master of inflection and character. He’s quickly become one of my favourite audio book narrators.

Whilst I was busily falling in love with these books and both the author and narrator’s work, they launched an entire podcast together! The Hoof and Fang Podcast is such a fun and inspiring listen! These two have great chemistry as friends and share fantastic insights as independent artists. Their Hoof and Fang podcast and project spotlights other indy authors each week and also offers a fantastic opportunity for LGBTQ authors to get professional audio book recordings of their work.

I was so thoroughly smitten with their project that naturally I had to invite them onto the show! I have been working on having them as guests since January of this year and I am pleased as punch that we were able to find a time.
