The Ghost Cats: Percival McSnuggins

I am delighted to introduce  dear Percival McSnuggins, pussycat extraordinaire who, as a wee kitten in the Scottish Highlands, came to work with the brilliant lady detective, Madame Abigail Weatherwax. Madame Weatherwax was quick to discern that Percival was a kitty of fine insight and excellent instincts. His ability to track down small clues was astonishing, and together they were able to solve some of the Highland’s most peculiar crimes. The McSnuggins tail twitch, as it was called, was feared by ne’er-do-wells across the counties, from Caithness to Argyll.

Percival became a rather famous kitty after Madame Weatherwax published memoirs of her most famous cases. The book was quite popular across Scotland but a surprise smashing success in Japan which lead to an exciting voyage for the two stalwarts all the way to Kyoto, but that is an entirely different tale!

Percival retired at last with Madame Weatherwax to a charming seaside village where they continued to solve mysteries and capture culprits! They were both rather white about the temples by that time, and as the years passed, they spent more time together curled in their favourite chair in front of the snug fire, enjoying a good book and a nice cuppa. It was there that they took their final nap together on a blustery day.

Percival has gone on to his forever haunt where he will continue to track down the answers to mysteries and riddles such as what happened to the last biscuit and where did the tea cup go. He may even share in the hunt for more pressing answers. Best of all, however, he will join his new family in late night snuggles whilst enjoying a good book.

A pip pip and a hurrah for dear Percival McSnuggins!
