The Ghost Cats: Lord Fluffypants

May I formally introduce Lord Fluffypants, house cat to one of the great dandies of London Society in the 1870s. His dandy, one Viscount Fitzgivens, was as beloved for his fondness for his feline companion as for his impeccable dinner conversation. Lord Fluffypants was discovered as the youngest of kittens, snuggled into a basket of perfect cravats fresh from the laundress that the Viscount’s Valet used each week. The laundress claimed no knowledge of the kitten, and the Viscount was smitten by the little lord’s impeccable taste in cravats. From that day forward, dear Lord Fluffypants assisted every morning with the Viscount’s toilet, helping him choose the perfect neck-wear as well as very fetching trinkets and waistcoats. So good was he as a master of taste and fashion, that young debutantes would arrive for tea with their mammas, to have Lord Fluffypants provide his seal of approval. He would only ever sit on the most stylish of laps!

When Lord Fluffypants permanently departed London’s Society, the Viscount threw a wake that remains legendary to this day. The Viscount went into deep morning and wore only shades of purple for the rest of his days.

Dear Lord Fluffypants has retired to his forever haunt where he will most certainly continue to have very certain opinions about fashion, find the very best fabrics for his naps, and assist with the choosing of appropriate attire–sometimes by purposefully losing what he finds not quite up to snuff!

A raise of the tea cup and a very polite compliment to dear Lord Fluffypants!
