January Sip the Tea with special guest Catherine Lundoff

Originally posted to our patreon

This month for my Sip the Tea interview, I welcome me dear friend, Catherine Lundoff. I adore sitting down to chat books, art, and cats with Catherine and I know we are going to have an absolutely smashing time tomorrow.

I originally got to know Catherine because we chose one of the books (Murder on the Titania and Other Steam-Powered Adventures by Alex Acks) from her publishing house, Queen of Swords Press, as a book club read way back in 2020. Little did I know at the time what an absolute gift she and her press would be to our CommuniTea. Catherine continues to publish incredible queer fiction every year and has a wonderful back catalogue of excellent books, many of which have become personal favourites over the years.

More than her editorial and publishing work, Catherine is a champion for her community in countless ways. Not only does she uplift many authors through her work as a publisher, but as an author herself, she creates the stories I never knew I needed until I read them, like her wonderful menopausal werewolf series, starting with Silver Moon.

Whether as an activist, artist, or mentor, Catherine is an absolute gem who shows up generously for her fellow artists. I always learn something delightful whenever I sit down to chat with Catherine and I am thrilled to have the chance to share that experience with you! We have had the very great joy of having Catherine as a guest of our book club on previous occasions and I have had the opportunity to interview her in the past, but each time is indeed a special moment to delve deeper and discuss different aspects of living an artistic life.

I hope you will join us tomorrow morning, January 18th, at 10 AM Pacific (Seattle)/ 1 PM Eastern (Montreal) live on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook.
