With Friday Tea nearly ready to boil over from my excitement, I am pleased as punch to share that our Super Secret Special Guest tonight is C.L. Polk, author of the absolutely stunning Witchmark and Midnight Bargain. I am not sure the Grand Arbiter is prepared for my unhinged glee!

With a gift for beautifully rendered characters, fascinating magic systems, and world building that feels so real that I often forget that these are fantastical worlds, Polk’s books are some of my favourite reads of the last 5 years. We featured their Edwardian inspired gaslamp fantasy, Witchmark, for our Temporal Textual Talks reading list several years ago.

Whilst this is not a full interview, I am thrilled that we have the chance to sit down and get to know Polk a little better as readers and admirers.
