February Virtual Book Club

Sunday, February 16th, at 4:30 PM Pacific (Seattle)/ 7:30 PM Eastern (Atlanta)

Today we return for our monthly book club, and I am thrilled to sit down for a little chat about our read, Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky by Kwame Mbalia. I adore this wonderful Young Adult book, and whilst it is not a strictly steampunk, I find it delightfully adjacent. If you enjoyed last year’s book, The Nine Pound Hammer by Jean Claude Bemis, then this is an absolutely perfect read to follow up that story. With scads of American folklore and inspiration from the African Diaspora, this is a delightful treasure of a novel.

As always, you do not need to finish the book to join us for book club, but there may be spoilers. We shall stream book club to YouTube, but for the best experience, I highly recommend joining us in our virtual tea parlour on zoom. Book club meetings are now only available as live streams to YouTube where they are archived for later viewing. Book club starts at 4:30 PM Pacific (Seattle)/7:30 PM Eastern (Montreal).
