Twitch & Stitch Tuesdays

Tuesdays at 5PM Pacific (Seattle/Tucson) on Twitch

Twitch and Stitch Tuesdays are back after the short break around Wild West Con. If you read my update about exhaustion, you know I have been trying to catch my breath and get my thoughts focused once more. I am happy beyond words to return to our regular weekly schedule and to share these delightful adventures in stitching with you. Last week, I hosted an AMA* about millinery. We had a really astonishing two hour discussion and I was reminded once again that 2 hours is simply not enough time to encompass even the beginning conversation. However, I knew all along that I was going to be unleashing more hat nonsense in the coming weeks on Twitch so there would be more time for more questions and more insights.

For those who have missed my past hat making workshops, the next few weeks won’t be the same as a class or workshop. I won’t be able to share all of the steps or techniques, but if you are curious about hat making, this is an excellent opportunity to gather some resources, ask some questions, and see some of the basic steps to building a hat frame. On our Patreon, I shall endeavour to share some deeper insights and step by step photos of the process.

For those of you who want the inside scoop, I am planning to work up an Abigail percher for the Celestial Tea Dragon ensemble. The dress desperately needs some sort of chapeau action and after some mucking about with other patterns, I decided to return to one of my favourite styles. As much as I love to challenge myself with a new style of hat, I simply did not find anything else that was the right sort of shape. Whilst this isn’t properly a sew-a-long like those I hosted on Teatorial Tuesdays, on our Patreon, as I shall share more weekly updates, I shall also happily provide tips and techniques if you wish to build your own Abigail frame at the same time.

Tuesday Twitch and Stitch starts at 5PM Pacific (Seattle/Tucson) and streams until I run out of steam or need to make more tea. For notifications on when I stream on Twitch, please follow me there.

*AMA, for those who are not perennially on the aetherwebs, is short for Ask Me Anything
