Announcing a new workshop this summer: Introduction to Waistcoats and Tailoring!

I am pleased as punch to share this workshop with all of you and hope you will join me for this delightful sewing adventure. Once you have registered, I will contact you with either a payment request through Venmo or PayPal, your choice. (Our Patreon CommuniTea subscribers have special discounts for the class and should register using those codes listed elsewhere.)

As with all of our classes, there is a sliding scale depending on your Patreon Subscription Level. (Patreon Subscribers must be members at that level for the last month and the duration of the class).

Scholarships:

There are also 2 scholarship positions sponsored by Patreon members. Anyone may apply for these scholarships. This year, I am adding a 3rd scholarship for any federal employees who were laid off in the recent cuts to the many government organizations. Please simply reach out to me if you wish to participate in the class but need a scholarship.

Full Class Description and Schedule

Unleash the Dandy within and start your tailoring journey with Madame Askew  in a community focused on support, kindness, and whimsy. Madame Askew will share her insight, techniques, and tips for creating a well fitted waistcoat with welt pockets for any gender presentation.

This is an Intermediate Sewing Class. Participants must know how to use their sewing machine and have experience sewing garments. Advanced beginners who have made a few garments may find this class a perfect way to level up into intermediate sewing. Please check with Madame if you have questions about your skill level.

This is a 12 session class, scheduled across 7 weeks. Please review the schedule to confirm your availability*. (There are no refunds for this class) Classes meet virtually in a private zoom call. Sessions will be videoed and posted to Youtube after the live virtual sessions each week. Registered participants will have access to these videos after class as well as access to a private channel in our lively Discord community. Class will include a 30 minute opening period for socializing and questions, and a question and answer period at the end of each session. There will also be a short break halfway through each class to allow for refreshment, bathroom breaks, etc.

*If you need to miss a class or two for any reason, I am always available to answer questions to help you catch back up but the recorded class videos will also be available.
