July Book Chat: “Clockwork Boys” by T. Kingfisher

Sunday, July 20th, at 4:30 PM Pacific (Seattle/Tucson)

Today is our monthly Steampunk Book Chat. I must admit I am exceptionally keen to discuss Clockwork Boys by T. Kingfisher with all of you. Filled with snappy, witty dialogue and complex, morally grey characters, this is a marvelous adventure that blends found family and impossible odds into a perfect summer cocktail of a read. And yes, there are even clockwork creatures! As mentioned during our Friday Tea Party by Lady Junesquirrel, if you enjoy the first book, you should indeed go forth and read part 2 of the story, The Wonder Engine.

The author will not be joining us this month for book chat, but I have scheduled a Sip the Tea interview with her on August 9th so please mark you calendars!

This is my happy little reminder that you never need to finish the book to join us for our monthly chat but there may be spoilers. For the best experience, please join us in our virtual tea parlour on zoom at 4:30 PM Pacific (Seattle/Tucson) or follow along on our YouTube channel.

Happy reading!
