June Steampunk Book Chat with special guest Elizabeth Bear

June 28th 4:30 PM Pacific (Seattle/Tucson) — 7:30 PM Eastern (Montreal/Atlanta)

Today is our steampunk book chat! I am absolutely twitterpated with the Karen Memory series. Naturally, this means I am pleased as punch that we can sit down for a lively chat with our author guest Elizabeth Bear to discuss her latest installment in Karen’s ongoing adventures, Angel Maker. Please be certain to bring questions for our author as I always make sure that everyone who attends get to ask at least one question. (Usually, we manage two rounds of questions, however.)

If you have not yet had the chance to delve into the Karen’s story, I highly recommend starting with the first novel in the series, Karen Memory. Explore the changing landscape of a city griped by the gold rush and discover one of my favourite steampunk gadgets ever imagined. The cast of characters really is the magic at the heart of this first book, but Bear also packs in a wonderful plot that will keep you riveted to the page.

Book chat starts at 4:30 PM Pacific (Seattle/Tucson) — 7:30 PM Eastern (Atlanta/Montreal) on Sunday June 28th. For the best experience, please join us in our virtual tea parlour on zoom or follow along on our YouTube channel. (We are unable to stream to multiple platforms for our book chat.) This is my happy little reminder that you never need to finish the book to join us for our monthly chat, but there may be spoilers.
