If you joined us last Friday for teatime, then you already know that we are hosting our 5th Annual Bastille Day Cog Match Game. We have some wonderful guests already confirmed, new questions, and extra cheekiness being shipped in direct from France or at least from wherever I’m acquiring my sparkling white wine.

Five years ago, Eve Riot and I had a little idea that has turned into one of my favourite annual events. What an incredibly, fierce event it has become! Whilst Eve cannot join us this year–for all good reasons, my darlings!–we are going to do our utmost to make Eve proud with our unhinged game show shenanigans.

I am extremely pleased to announce that we welcome back our dear friends David R. Slayton and Amanda from Yesterqueers! And for the first time, we welcome Seanan McGuire to our humble stage! For those who have not had the chance yet to enjoy his books, David is the brilliant author behind one of my all time favourite urban fantasy series, The Adam Binder Novels, and the absolutely gorgeous Gods of Night and Day epic fantasy series. Amanda is the mastermind who creates the revolutionary Yesterqueers Queer history project. Seanan McGuire is the award winning author of more books that I can even begin to list and absolute pip to boot! (And yes, there is one more surprise special guest joining us!)

We are going to have an incredible evening but you are essential to the tomfoolery, my lovelies! We need contestants and an avid audience ready to encourage our guests and competitors alike in their quests for the funniest answers.
