Five years ago the Grand Arbiter, Eve Riot, and I dreamed of a Steampunk awards show, and instead of asking important questions like how or what platform or where, we said “why not?” and forged ahead. Thus was born the Tippy Golden Teacup Awards, our celebration of the Steampunk artists, authors, community organizers, fashion setters, and luminaries who make our CommuniTea thrive. This coming year in March, we shall unleash our 5th Annual Tippies, we three are thrilled to share that magical night with all of you! You can find our compendium of past luminaries right here.
There are no Tippies without you, my darlings, and so we most vitally need your nominations for our community drive awards. Starting this week, the nomination forms are open. Please be certain to share your admiration and esteem for your comrades in steam but also know that we encourage you to nominate yourself! No matter who you nominate, it is vitally important that you include contact information for your nominee.
After discussion with the Dark Counsel and your feedback from last year’s nomination process, we are adjusting our format. Each award has its own nomination form so you may propose candidates one at a time at your leisure. You may even nominate multiple people for a single award. There is no requirement to fill out every category.
Cheers!

Grand Macaroni
The fop of our age, the Grand Macaroni exhibits the true panache of dandy regardless of gender.
Evolution made manifest, this Textile Transformer has manifested and embodied personal growth and development in costumery.
A stalwart crafter of the imagination, this Brass Forge makes props and accoutrements that inspire us to create further.
Color is the only thing to live for. This costumer’s borderline manic use of color and pattern shock and awe us to our core.
This is to celebrate those who offer their time and enthusiasm to the Digital Spaces for Madame Askew and the Grand Arbiter. This is a chance to celebrate a member you might only know through the Aetherweb!
Be it ankles or avocados scandals come from many vectors. This Scandal Crafter can make a bit, joke, or recursive gag of Madame Askew and the Grand Arbiter’s delicate sensibilities.
Out of Madame Askew’s envy of punsters we look to celebrate the best Punsters we know. Nominate yourself or a friend with fiendishly fiery puns!
