You may have seen the news that Frenchy and the Punk, one of the hardest working post-punk gems and a beloved band in Steampunklandia, are facing a grave difficulty. Samantha, the irrepressible musician known as Frenchy, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Under the best of circumstances, this is harrowing news. For independent artists, there is the added challenge of having to cancel gigs and give up the main source of income for an unforeseen length of time.

We adore Frenchy and the Punk, not just for their fabulous music, but for the spirit of kindness, generosity, and whimsy that infuses all of their art and their presence at any event. Of course, the Grand Arbiter and I want to help support Samantha at this critical moment, and we know that you, my dearest darling treasures, also want to help whenever and however possible. So this Friday, during our normal Friday Teatime event, we are interrupting our normal cheeky programming for something even more unhinged: a fundraiser!

Get ready for a thoroughly shameless AMA and other ridiculous behaviour from us as donations unlock sundry cheeky feats of whimsy. We’re also hosting a matching donation challenge during the Teatime.
